The River To River Festival is an annual performing arts festival with events held from June through July in Lower Manhattan, NYC. The festival's programming includes free music, dance, film, arts, and play events open to the public. The lead partner for the River To River Festival is the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC). == History == The River To River Festival was founded in 2002 by the Downtown Alliance, American Express, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Battery City Authority, Arts Brookfield, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and South Street Seaport. The festival was created as an effort to revitalize the Lower Manhattan community after the September 11 attacks by promoting cultural activity and making Lower Manhattan an important experience of New York City's history, art, and commerce. Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) became the lead organizer and producer of the Festival in 2011. Each summer, the Festival presents a month of free performances and events in Lower Manhattan, including music, dance, theatre, visual arts, film, and interactive experiences. The Festival takes place at indoor and outdoor locations throughout the neighborhood and features leading artists from New York City and around the world. == River To River Festival 2013 == June/July 2013 will mark the 12th annual River To River Festival. This year, contemporary artists will focus on the theme of unexpected spaces. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「The River to River Festival」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
